Whiplash Injury
Whiplash is a neck injury resulting from a sudden movement of the head. It commonly occurs in road accidents, for example when a car is hit from behind by another car. Symptoms of whiplash may take several days to occur, so it is important to take the details of the other driver and seek medical advice after a car accident.
Symptoms of whiplash include dizziness, headaches, back pain and neck stiffness. Depending on the severity of the whiplash it may last anywhere from a few weeks, to several months or even years.
